Tourmalet and Back
One hundred years after the Tour de France introduced high mountain passes, riders will cross the historic Col du Tourmalet, a challenging mountain pass, in two consecutive stages. First they will encounter the east side in stage 16, ending in the city of Pau, then, in stage 17, they will climb the west side of the mountain. Use the map below to explore panoramic images of the highest road in the central Pyrenées.
