Halifax’s Titanic landmarks

The story of Titanic is inextricably linked to the city of Halifax. In the aftermath of that tragedy, its capable ships and hardy crews plucked hundreds of floating bodies from the frigid Atlantic. Its citizens tended the Titanic dead, as if they were their own. Its churches prayed over those lost. Its graveyards would hold their remains. To this day, Halifax remembers. Its streets and buildings and waterfront all tell tales of the great disaster. Use this interactive map to accompany Titanic historian, author and tour leader Blair Beed as we visit some of those places and hear some of those stories.
