With high unemployment, an uncertain economy, an angry electorate, and a never-ending stream of information, it’s no surprise many American’s feel like they’re on the edge. And nowhere is this felt more than by those living in the 50 biggest U.S. metropolitan areas. To find out which area was the most stressed and which had the easiest life, we took 10 factors that we could objectively measure and used the resulting figures to develop a stress index.
